Internet and the Fourth Amendment.

There has been recently in the House Judiciary Committee's antitrust task force of the House of Representatives a debate about "net neutrality." It is discussed about how much control Internet Service Providers should have over the information that computer users send and/or receive in the Internet. For quite a time "cookies¨ have been used to track everything you do online with the purpose to know your behavior. They are spying on us. This information is sometimes given to companies that advertise in the internet. Behavioral targeting should be considered to be an invasion of privacy.

Network providers can also interfere with your activities in the internet by blocking some websites for some of their suscribers, or slowing and blocking some applications. With new technologies they may become the "gatekeepers and toll collectors" of the internet.

There is an article in the BBC News (digital) by Darren Waters titled "Stark Warning for internet's future." Professor Jonathan Zittrain is warning that "the future (of the net) is potentially bleak." Mr. Zittain is professor of internet governance and regulation at Oxford University.
